Status

A student is considered Canadian if holds either Canadian Citizenship or the Canadian Permanent Residence. All other students are considered international – International Students at Spadina. If you are considered Canadian and are applying from an address abroad please contact our registrar’s office to ensure the correspondent tuition fee is applied.

Enrollment

Spadina International School takes students from Canada or anywhere around the world, the only requisite is to have the Passion to Live your Dreams. As a SIS Student you can pursue the Ontario Secondary School Diploma – OSSD – which is accepted by colleges and universities globally. Students from the 5 continents with different original languages, cultures, beliefs and interests are more than welcome to SIS, where you can find the flexibility, stress-free and quality education you are looking for. 

As a student, you can enroll at any time during the year and also to obtain your diploma at your own pace. Look for the courses offered at SIS, identify your interests, beware of the prerequisites and join the most spectacular learning experience. SIS can send all the supporting documentation to the institution you require around the world. If you need assistance in crafting your personal plan please do not hesitate to contact us.

If you want to take a course that has a prerequisite that you have successfully gained in another institution, you can follow the Waiving Course Prerequisite procedure described in the School Calendar that might be found in the School Manual menu.

Visa Requirement

There is no need to solicit a student visa or study permit to Canada. The Spadina International School model allows the students to take the courses and accomplish all the diploma requirements from their place of residence. The community involvement hours can be completed at your home country as well as the Ontario Secondary School test can be written from anywhere.

If you plan to visit Canada or study in-person, a visitor or student visa is required.

Accredit the prior Studies

If the student has gained credits at any level of high school outside of Ontario, might follow the PLAR equivalency process outlined in the Spadina International School Calendar that might be found in the School Manual menu. If the equivalency process has a positive outcome, those credits can account for filling the requirement to obtain the OSSD High School Diploma.
